Looth Tooth

"This is amazing."
"I think this is one of the happiest days of my life."

No, Christmas didn't come early in our house.

Liam had just finished dinner, and I thought I saw food stuck in his teeth. After a closer look, we found Liam's first loose tooth. He hadn't noticed at all, despite it being nearly horizontal.

Now I can't get him to take his finger out of his mouth. And of course I had to take a picture to document the occasion. But not to be outdone, Sara insisted on posing for her own open-mouthed photo.

Guess we'll have to give the Tooth Fairy fair warning that she'll need to visit here soon. What is the going rate for your first tooth, anyhow?

I don't know what the rate is these days because Rylee still hasn't lost any!! She's not happy about that either ;)

Be careful what you start paying, because then you are committing to future teeth, and sibling's teeth. I think the kids got $1 for the first and now they get $.50.

I'm just so out of the loop on the "going rate" since this is Liam's first. I didn't want to be that mom giving him a dime, when everyone else get a dollar. :)

I had a friend a long time ago that didn't have a clue as to what to give for a lost tooth. For her oldest son's first lost tooth, she gave him $20. I almost choked when she told me that. DO NOT give that much!!! ; )

We did a gold $1 coin. Which he wanted to take with him to school this morning to show all his friends (but Mean Mommy told him "no").
